Challenge against statewide clean air law
The Attorney General’s office argued in Shawnee County District Court this morning against granting an injunction delaying the statewide clean indoor air law due to go into effect on July 1, with plaintiff attorneys arguing for such delays.  One plaintiff wanted Class B clubs getting licenses after January 1, 2009 to be exempted from the law.  The other plaintiffs are arguing that the entire law should be declared unconstitutional. The judge has the ruling under consideration and will announce a verbal decision by late afternoon tomorrow.  We will provide additional news as it becomes available.
