Our Mission
The mission of the Tobacco Free Kansas Coalition is to reduce the prevalence of tobacco use and addiction and to assist Kansans in avoiding the negative health and economic impact of tobacco use.

Kansas SmokeFree Clean Indoor Air Website.  A smokefree law for Kansas was signed into law by Governor Parkinson on March 12 making Kansas the 35th state to adopt significant protections against secondhand smoke in workplaces, including bars and restaurants. The state legislative action follows the passage of 39 local policies over the past nine years.  The new Kansas Clean Air Act takes effect on July 1, 2010. Sixteen communities across the state will hold smokefree events beginning July 1st as the start of the statewide clean indoor air law begins.  See the list of events planned.

TASK LOL (Leading Out Loud) Youth Anti-tobacco Tour.  The event will be held in Hays on August 7th at the Sternberg Museum.  Time is 9 AM to 3 PM. The event is free of charge with lunch included. Youth from ages 12 to 18 can attend. Registration form and announcement are linked here.  Other training date is August 28th in Lawrence.
